UBWwrestling.com: Well Si, we appreciate you taking the time to sit with us. So, one thing that has been on the minds of everyone. What the hell is wrong with you?

Si: It shouldn’t be of your concern what is wrong with me… what the concern here should be is how the way the UBW has treated the likes of myself and Pyro, plus any other individual in the locker room that has been different. It’s a complete mockery if you ask me

UBWwrestling.com: Ok, well let’s touch on that. Are you or are you not Pyro?

Si: Pyro was just a figment of everyone’s imagine… Si has always been here, just hiding and creeping behind the facade of Pyro… The way he was treated here made me believe that it doesn’t matter who I am… I’ll never get the respect I ever deserve

UBWwrestling.com: Many say respect is earned not given in the backyard. Could it be your attitude and depressive demeanor that could be holding you back from attaining the elite status you desire most?

Si: Absolutely not… I’ve done everything from being the first Albuquerque champion in UBW to having some of the most brutal matches with big poppa peepers and the fallen to name a few. Who has the right to keep me out of the spot light when I have accomplished more than say, the likes of “The Average” Anthony Perez? It’s a disgrace!

UBWwrestling.com: That’s something a lot of the UBW faithful have had in the back of their heads. With you two starting together in the faction of The System, many have been seeing the both of you as almost parallel to one another. Both of you having success in the UBW, just at different times. Would you say you agree with this type of thinking?

Si: I would say it was more of a coincidence than anything else. Just because we came into UBW as a team doesn’t mean that we’re “parallel” as you put it. I’m more of a vicious disease that stalks you, without notice, and when it’s time I go for the instant kill. “The Present” is an arrogant and sloppy young buck from some podunk little “junction” who doesn’t know anything about the darkness. He doesn’t know anything about the other side that could potentially save him from being a coward.

UBWwrestling.com: Well now that Anthony Perez is once again Albuquerque Champion, would it be safe to say you’re gunning for him?

Si: I’m gunning for gold in general. whether it is the Hardcore title, the Albuquerque, or the UBW World Championship. Hell I’ll take all 3 if I could. I just want what’s rightfully mine… Respect!

Grant Names himself #1 Contender

Before he was set to compete against his hand picked opponent, Crash Test Dummy, Ezekial Grant has named himself the new #1 contender to the UBW World Championship. After defeating 3 others in a fatal four way that Josh Burns had setup to determine the first of the four competitors in the mini series to crown a new UBW Champion, Grant was awaiting news on his upcoming opponents. The fact that El Que has returned to the UBW, many agree with Grant that because he won the first slot in the series he should be #1 contender. No news yet if the Championship Committee has named a different opponent for the returning Que, but with King of the Backyard on the horizon, several assume they will go with the richest man in the yard.

Que Returns

Almost nobody expected it to happen but it did, El Que returned to Monday Night Massacre and the UBW World Championship. While in the middle of a conversation with Josh Burns, Que was bum rushed by one of the newest UBW stars, “The Irish Brawler” Shawn McCoy. McCoy then requested a match, even though he was slated to face another UBW hopeful, with El Que where it wouldn’t be the title on the line but instead Que’s mask. Burns booked the contest and McCoy defeated Que in a very one sided battle. Right when it appeared McCoy was going to expose what El Que looked like under the mask, the Questionable Luchador chomped down on “The Irish Brawler” and ran before he could be unmasked. What do these developments mean for the UBW? We don’t know, but we are sure to find out.

UBW Announces ‘Ten Year’ shirt Series

Being well-over halfway through 2011, UBW looks to the future as it has the past 9 years, and is preparing for the ten year anniversary of the company’s official organization.

2012 marks the point from when 10 years ago, current legend Joshua Burns and past UBW stars such as Big Poppa Peepers, Alex Andreuws and Alex (also known as Ajax) took their favorite recreational activity used to pass time, and began turning it into the backyard’s longest, active running backyard wrestling federation, producing over… 200-plus shows during it’s first episode of it’s flagship show, Revlusion, in September 2002.

With that in mind that UBW is proud to announce it’s plan to release 10 shirts, all-new, pay homage to the truly-decorated past of United Backyard Wrestling.

What are some of the shirts we could see?

UBW is keeping it’s lips pretty tight shut on, giving us a sneak-preview of one shirt that will be the first initially available exclusively through UBWWrestling.com. This isn’t the first time UBW has placed it’s products online, part of UBW’s decorate past was that of it’s popular WrestleMart which featured original clothing supporting the various superstars and causes of the promotion.

According to those close to the project, the first shirt will be released in time for Christmas this year, slightly ahead of schedule.

On this weeks Monday Night Massacre, Hardcore Champion Hugh Flynt took on Albuquerque Champion Sgt. Strict in a Battle for Supremacy rematch. While neither title was on the line, neither man wanted to lose this epic contest. Both men took each other to there utter limits, but it was Sgt. Strict who emerged victorious in the opening contest of the night.

Championship Committee member Josh Burns announced a fatal four way between the two champions still in the UBW, recently returning Matt “The Fenix” Carroll and Ezekial Grant. Grant would prove to be the better man in the contest as he pinned Carroll to become the first of the four mini tournament Burns had announced the week before. El Que has reportedly given management notice that he is leaving United Backyard Wrestling. Newly christened Championship Committee member Josh Burns made the announcement to the live crowd at the recent Monday Night Massacre. Some have speculated that Que’s exit may be in some form related to Burns gaining a committee member position. When we asked Mr. Burns of this rumor “In no way, shape or form was I the cause of El Que providing notice 24 hours before Massacre was set to air.” Burns continued, “That wasn’t my call, that was his.” More to come from this shocking announcement

Revealed on the first episode of Monday Night Massacre of the new season, Josh Burns has become an official member of the UBW Championship Committee. Burns has been with the UBW since it began and there is no question that he knows how to run the weekly show based on his past management experience, but some have come to question what changes Burns plans to implement to the championship scene, including the UBW World Championship and current champ El Que. One thing is for sure we now know another member of the Championship Committee, alongside Gregory Stevens and the mysterious voices making the bulk of decisions throughout last season. The committee is starting to take shape and have taken its biggest opposition in Burns and brought him into the fold. How will this impact this season of UBW?
