El Que has reportedly given management notice that he is leaving United Backyard Wrestling. Newly christened Championship Committee member Josh Burns made the announcement to the live crowd at the recent Monday Night Massacre. Some have speculated that Que’s exit may be in some form related to Burns gaining a committee member position. When we asked Mr. Burns of this rumor “In no way, shape or form was I the cause of El Que providing notice 24 hours before Massacre was set to air.” Burns continued, “That wasn’t my call, that was his.” More to come from this shocking announcement

UBW Champion Walks on UBW
Burns a member of the Committee
Revealed on the first episode of Monday Night Massacre of the new season, Josh Burns has become an official member of the UBW Championship Committee. Burns has been with the UBW since it began and there is no question that he knows how to run the weekly show based on his past management experience, but some have come to question what changes Burns plans to implement to the championship scene, including the UBW World Championship and current champ El Que. One thing is for sure we now know another member of the Championship Committee, alongside Gregory Stevens and the mysterious voices making the bulk of decisions throughout last season. The committee is starting to take shape and have taken its biggest opposition in Burns and brought him into the fold. How will this impact this season of UBW?
The Season Begins!
Another year has begun in United Backyard Wrestling with what many has anticipated as another stellar season. Returning this year include Alb. Champ Sgt. Strict, Hardcore Champion Hugh Flynt, Anthony Perez, Si, Crash Test Dummy, and the still current UBW World Champion El Que. With Que winning the championship last year in surprising fashion, who else will step up to be the face of the company. What surprises are in store for the UBW faithful this year in 2011.
Backyard Bedlam end with a BANG!
El Que has become the NEW UBW World Champion after cashing in his contract on now former champion Ajax after he himself had just defeated Big Poppa Peepers, who had just retained the title after defeating three of the best the UBW has to offer today in Albuquerque Champion Sgt. Strict, Former stable mate The Fallen, and a retiring “Big Daddy” Dave Johnson. After a brutal 4 way dance, Big Poppa Peepers retained his championship only to be blindsided with another UBW title defense with the returning Ajax. After a brutal one on one contest that tested both the competitors, Ajax emerged victorious after a Flatline that would prove to be the end of a full season reign for Peepers. While everyone knew the possibility was there to have a new World Champion, no one expected to have two title changes in less than a 5 minute time span. Seconds after Ajax was announced as champion, Que stormed the arena and immediately pounced on Ajax, hitting a Rolling Jalapeno for the quick cover and the 3 count.
Si gained a hard fought victory over “The Present” Anthony Perez. These two men beat the hell out of each other all over the backyard, utilizing the no DQ environment to full advantage. After a running knee Si covered “The Present” to leave his mark on the end of the season, showing he is here and darker than ever.
More questions than answers as this season comes to an end, which will need to answered next season. Will Big Poppa Peepers or Ajax return to invoke their respective rematch clauses? Will Perez attempt to avenge his loss to the returning Si? Who will rise to challenge El Que for his newly won UBW Championship? All this and more to be answered as we await the 2011 Season of United Backyard Wrestling.
One Week till Season Finale
With the end of the season in the horizon, the UBW Roster are starting to draw lines in the sand. The recently returning Si, formerly known as Pyro, and former Albuquerque Champion Anthony Perez’s blood fued apparently will be coming to a head at Backyard Bedlam. Big Poppa Peepers has also been said to have issued another open contract in his search for competition after destroying nearly the entire roster for the past 2 seasons. Don’t miss the action as United Backyard Wrestling presents its final show of the season, Backyard Bedlam, next week!
Sgt Strict becomes Albuquerque Champion
On this weeks Monday Night Massacre, Sgt. Strict defeated “The Present” Anthony Perez with an At Ease off the top of the upper level to gain the pinfall victory. While Sgt Strict didn’t fair well in the Battle for Supremacy tournament, only making it to the second round before being defeated by Hugh Flynt, many are seeing this as just another step in Strict’s career towards the pinnacle of the backyard, the UBW World Championship. With this being Strict’s first championship in United Backyard Wrestling, everyone is gunning to bring him down. Who will bring the fight to Strict and challenge him for the Albuquerque Championship? Will Anthony Perez invoke his rematch clause or will he find another opponent for Backyard Bedlam?
El Que Wins Battle for Supremacy
In a surprising turn of events, El Que battled 3 other opponents to become the winner of the Battle for Supremacy tournament. After winning the opening round, Que went on to defeat Anthony Perez in the second round in what was described as a fluke victory., Heavy favorite Hugh Flynt appeared to be the man to end the “Cinderella” story and in a brutal 15 foot steel chain match, Que was definitely the underdog. Que turned the doubters into believers after delivering a devastating DDT, pinned Flynt and now has the opportunity of a life time to become the UBW World Champion. When will the Questionable Luchador choose to cash in his contract? Only time will tell.
Johnson Quits UBW!
In a brutal Triple threat “Big Daddy” Dave Johnson lost the UBW Albuquerque Championship to “The Present” Anthony Perez. Johnson hit his finish on first The Fallen then Anthony Perez, who fell on top of Fallen and gained a surprising win to become a two time Albuquerque Champion. After the bell rang and Perez’s music started to play, “Big Daddy” Dave took the mic and proclaimed he was tired of the injustices that were taking place in the UBW. “UBW Fans, UBW Wrestlers, Championship Committee. I QUIT!” were the last words heard as Monday Night Massacre came to a close.
