He is the newest superstar to make an impact in the backyard! This longtime wrestling veteran, Sizzlin’ Steve Anderson, made a name for himself in his former home promotion, Bondurant Championship Wrestling (BCW), and now offically part of United Backyard Wrestling, he sits down for yet another exclusive interview with Sizzlin’ Steve Anderson.
UBW: Steve Anderson how are you?
Sizzlin Steve Anderson: I’m good…I just finished my morning run and I am about to get to my 2 hours of Yoga as soon as I am done here.
UBW: So how would you say your run is so far in the UBW?
SSA: Well so far not so good. Don’t get me wrong I am having a blast out there kickin’ ass for my fans, but I am very disappointed in the UBW because they aren’t giving the fans enough of “Sizzlin” Steve Anderson. The people love me and I love me, so why not show love to the people and book Steve all the time at every show and every match. But other than that the people in the UBW are great and they show me the up most respect that I deserve.
UBW: Many are calling you a prodigy as you stepped into the UBW and in your first match did nothing short of entertaning everyone — what do you have to say about that?
SSA: They’re right. I am a prodigy and after my first 2 matches. Wait could you remind me who they were against?
UBW: The Fallen and Alex Andreuws.
SSA: Oh yeah that’s right. I beat the current UBW United States Champion and the current Number 1 Contender for the UBW World Title. Not to mention I made them both tap out. So anyway about your question, you know what I got to say about that…I don’t have to say anything about that because watching those matches says it all.
UBW: What do you think of your competitors here in the UBW?
SSA: There tough. I see a lot of competition in the UBW. Guys like Andreuws, Peepers, Old School, Alex and many others all have the ability to make it to better places. Then I see The Fallen and how he treats everyone and himself and life even. I’m thinking about getting him high someday. That’ll teach him to love everyone and everything…. Sorry I am getting off track, but about the competitors themselves from what I’ve seen…You know you got guys like Peepers and Eddie who can both take an ass whooping like no other. Alex Andreuws has a lot of talent, and reminds me of me only not as good looking. And then there is the man, Alex. I think the other day at Freezing Point he proved why he is champ. And like I said the others are all great, but unfortanetly there just not as great as me, Sizzlin Steve.
UBW: Backyard Brawl II is fastly approaching, where do you see yourself on March 25th?
SSA: March 25th? It’s that close already. Well since it is that close I don’t see myself in the main event because it is already taken by Alex and Alex Andreuws, but I do see myself in the match before the main event…Wait! Backyard Brawl II will be headlined by a double main event. Can’t you just picture it? Alex vs. Alex Andreuws as the first main event, but after that “Sizzlin” Steve Anderson vs. whoever he wants in the 2nd main event. Holy shit Backyard Brawl II is going to be unbelievable!
UBW: Where do you see yourself at the time of Dangerous Games?
SSA: What is that? Is it like Family Feud?
UBW: No, Dangerous Games is the second biggest UBW event of the year.
SSA: Oh I see. Well if that’s the case Sizzlin Steve will be a champion and probably defending whatever title I have at the time in the main event. If you haven’t noticed already I am a main eventer. In fact I am the main event.
UBW: Backyard Brawl II who will win, Alex or Alex Andreuws?
SSA: Man this is a tough one. Alex is my boy and all, but I think I have to go with Alex Andreuws. Like I said earlier he reminds me of me, only not as good looking. His looks will never win him anything, but I believe he has the talent to do it though. It’ll be interesting to see none the less.
