Mike Carrol, one of the few men who can say they had their part in the infancy of the UBW, recently sat down with us here at UBWWrestling.com to discuss many things; including what he has been up to, his surprise return to UBW at Freezing Point and much more.
This interview was conducted just hours following his loss to the first contender for the UBW World Championship at Backyard Brawl II, Alex Andreuws.
UBW: Mike how ya doin?
Carrol: Well considering i got my ass kicked at Freezing Point I think I’m doing pretty good
UBW: Ha ha, that you did, but I think I speak for the fans when I say you did a very good job and your return shocked us all.
Carrol: Well I was going for the shock factor do to my just up and leaving before and that shocking everyone i would make a surprising return.
UBW: Well Mike, the big question is why did you depart the UBW after Backyard Brawl in 2003?
Carrol: Well its funny you should ask i was trying to start a movie career but after exposing myself to an old woman which was a big mistake I was locked up for awhile.
UBW: When did you get out?
Carrol: Not that long ago about a month or so I was looking for a place to live but couldnt find anywhere and one day I was begging for money when Peepers stumbled across me in the gutter.
UBW: So Peepers took you and here you are today?!
Carrol: Yeah he has changed a lot since I left.
UBW: In what ways?
Carrol: Well when I left, Peepers probably would have started laughing at me and then kick my ass after that he would have humped the shit out of me like he use to.
UBW: Ooh, you’re making reference to the Ba-Ba, A move Owner Gregory Stevens banned over six months ago, I’m pretty sure your glad about that one.
Carrol: Yeah! Wow, Stevens actually did one thing right, poor bastard.
UBW: Stevens had it coming, kudos on your chokeslam too. Mike, another question on every UBW fans head and even some of the wrestlers minds; what is next for Mike Carrol since his return at Freezing Point? What kind of appearance contract are you on.
Carrol: Well I cant really discuss it right now my lawyers are working out the fine details as we speak, but since my availability is screwed up right now you can expect to see me at most big events
UBW: Would Backyard Brawl II be one of those events?
Carrol: Oh yeah, I wont miss that one! With my return at Freezing Point it is going to make Backyard Brawl II the biggest event ever.
UBW: Anyone you have it gunned for?
Carrol:No, I like all the wrestlers, even Andreuws! I mean they are all good one way or another, and surprisingly it looks like there is a lot of talent in the new guys I’ve seen. So right now whoever wants there shot can get it but they better come ready to put it all on the line
UBW: Strong words for a strong man, Mike — Thank you for your time. Can’t way to see you again at Backyard Brawl II, and to whomever has it gunned out for you, I feel sorry for them!
