UBWWrestling.com recently had the opprotunity to sit down and discuss the current state of backyard wrestling, his career and the future of the former UBW owner, the Ace of Spades.
UBW: What is the status on your neck?
Ace of Spades: Im going through therapy right now and its going very well.
UBW: So where’ve you been since Massacre?
Spades: The whole therapy thing and I’ve been doing charity work, It wasn’t probation it’s something I’ve wanted to do for a long time. I was taking a break from the UBW, I needed personal time because some things in the back where not sitting well with me, there was a lot of backstabbing, hidden agendas and I was not fucking happy with that.
UBW: How would you describe your active day?
Spades: When I was injured thanks to Alex Andreuws, I was scared. I mean it’s my fucking neck here. I was looking for support from some of the wrestlers to help me through this rough time. I received no support from a couple of the wrestlers who I had been a good friend to and I helped support them in there tough times. So I decided to take a break to see if things could get straightened out and If respect could be received and given.
UBW: Was everything straightened out?
Spades: They’re still iffy here in the UBW, but they have improved?
UBW: Are you ever going to return to wrestling?
Spades: I have plans to return to wrestling, even if it’s not as a wrestler.
UBW: So In-ring work is out of the question?
Spades: In-ring work is not totally out of the question but it’s going to be a very tough, and close call to make right now.
UBW: Your contract expires on the 31st of this month will you be resigning?
Spades: I plan to meet with Gregory Stevens and discuss further signing my contract.
UBW: What needs to happen for you to be resigned?
Spades: Better sense of organization within the UBW needs to improve; not so much chaos.
UBW: Could we see Ace of Spades around the time of Backyard Brawl II if everything goes according to scheduled?
Spades: Yes.
UBW: Have you been keeping up with UBW Sense you’ve been gone?
Spades: Yes I have, I miss being part of it, and I want to keep an eye of what’s going on.
