It is a word that means more than life to many UBW Superstars; it’s name richer than gold to all: ‘Backyard Brawl’. “It simply sends chills down my freggin’ spine!” Said UBW Owner Gregory Stevens. Stevens who was not on screen at Backyard Brawl because of a storyline of where he walked out was backstage helping running the show.
“The event is simply big, are wrestler work all year for this event.” Stevens continued. “After Backyard Brawl One on March 18th, 2003 we where thinking; okay what can we do now to top this event next year?” Immediately following Backyard Brawl One build up for Backyard Brawl 2 began. Meetings where held often and storylines where discussed. “I could tell you the main event for Backyard Brawl 2 but why in the hell would I do that four months in advance?” Stevens said. “We hade a huge storyline built up for the event. We thought it was compelling but realized it was not UBW and we could do something bigger and that is where we are at right now!” Stevens said confidently.
Currently UBW is looking into a venue, ring, crew and the best set money can buy.
“We will have staff everywhere. We have a committee; “Backyard Brawl Committee” It’s solely committed to one event; Backyard Brawl 2. It will simply be the biggest event ever!” Said UBW Chief of Staff; Joshua Burns. When UBW Head of Promotion Rebecca B. was asked about UBW Ticket sales she had to say this, “Ticket sales could be better. I sincerely encourage you to reserve your spot to the biggest UBW event of all time. It won’t get any bigger than this! Ever!”
